Figurative Sculptures
My figurative work is a very thick woven pile that I can cut into and create forms. In my early work, these were a composition of shapes. As I worked, I pushed these forms into human anatomy. I love contrasting the sculptural form against a textured woven background.
I have always shown these figurative sculptural forms in Plexiglas boxes because they could be changed by handling. The boxes keep them from getting soiled.
